本片是巴西著名实力派女演员Fernanda Montenegro（《中央车站》）的银幕处女作，讲述一个遭受生活打击的女人一心求死的痛苦经历，也是她至今表演最成功的作品之一，首次获得了巴西电影节最佳女主角奖而成名。本片改编自Nelson Rodrigues的戏剧，由新浪潮导演Leon Hirszman执导。 　　Woman who is obsessed with death wants a first-class burial for herself, and even buys a luxury coffin beforehand. 　　Zulmira (Fernanda Montenegro) is a woman who visits the doctor when she decides she is dying. The doctor pronounces that she is in good health, but Zulmira sets aside a sizeable sum of money for her elaborate funeral. She catches cold and asks her husband (Ivan Candido) on her deathbed to take the money for the services. The roguish husband passes himself off as a cousin and gives her the cheapest available funeral. He goes to a soccer game where he gambles away the rest of the money and falls apart emotionally in this grim and satirical comedy drama. 　　Leon Hirszman's films pursue the subtle and the psychological searching for the contradictions of character. A FALECIDA (THE DECEASED WOMAN, 1965) wills her own death in anticipation of her opulent funeral. Her husband, following her instructions, discovers her rich and corrupt former lover and uncovers a passionate and abandoned side of the woman who, with him, had always been neurotic, repressed and obsessive. 　　This film was based in a Nelson Rodrigues' story. It's about a married woman , who lives in a suburb in Rio de Janeiro . She's not happy and dreams of a sophisticated funeral for herself. Fernanda Montenegro is one of the best actresses of Brazil and Nelson Rodrigues one of the best dramatists. A great drama.

朝鲜圣宗时代盛行以儒教思想为中心制定的七出之条来要求女子的行为举止，只要是女子犯了无子、淫佚、不事舅姑、口舌、盗窃、妒忌、恶疾七条中的一条男方就有权利把女子赶出家门。贵族家的大家闺秀鱼羽佟（李甫熙饰）爱上了出身贫贱的男子，偷偷相爱的两人被羽佟父母发现后大发雷霆狠狠训了羽佟一顿还把她相爱的男子狠狠的毒打后赶了出去。为了让羽佟断了心思，父母强行要求把她嫁到了王室宗亲太山君家中，可是太山君却以羽佟不能生孩子为名不断的折磨她，羽佟无法坚持之下从太山君家中逃了出来。无处可去的羽佟来到江边想一死了之，跳江后的羽佟却被妓女所生的项志（朴元淑饰）救起，于是羽佟为了报复可恶的封建制度开始跟基生学做妓女的全部课程。 　　以肉体为凭借开始反抗封建制度下的家长式制度时，在羽佟的特立独行和美艳之下声名鹊起，可也因此触动了她原来的婆家和娘家，为了阻止她继续给家门蒙羞他们一起派出了刺客刀楚（安圣基饰）。可是刀楚得知羽佟的过去后，发现羽佟也和自己一样是受到封建制度迫害的可怜人，不禁生起同病相怜之心进而转化成刻骨铭心的爱意，羽佟也一样不可自拨的爱上了内心无比善良刀楚。可是相爱的两人发现制度的压迫下，世界之大却根本无两人的容身之处，为了坚持最后一份爱情、一份美好两人不得不双双吊死。如果人世间得不到美好的爱情也许阴间或来世可以再相逢……
